Land that was once a high country sheep station is now a flourishing vineyard. An explosive mouthful of flavour. Since DeBortoli started making these botrytis wines in the Riverina 30 years ago there has emerged a legitimate world class style of dessert wine from the area. It takes a lot of care and a huge gamble on the part of the winemaker to promote the “noble rot” on the grapes that produce these wonderful, intensely flavoured wines. In a recent tasting this wine came out on top against some serious and expensive opposition. |
